What this is

Injury searches are local, urgent and judged on trust. The clearest credible answer gets the call.

SEO for personal injury lawyers is the work of making a firm easy to find and easy to trust when someone searches after an accident. Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and popularity, so the Business Profile, its categories and its reviews carry real weight. The website needs a page for each practice area, from car and truck crashes to slip and fall and wrongful death, and a page for each office the firm actually staffs. Content answers the questions injured people search, such as filing deadlines, insurance and settlement timelines, written plainly and checked by a lawyer. Google gives extra weight to trust on topics that can affect a person's finances or safety, and legal help is one of them. Everything the firm publishes must also pass its state bar's advertising rules. Done well, the program makes the firm the clearest, most credible answer in its market, in classic results and in AI answers.

What the program includes

The work, piece by piece.

01

Practice area pages

A page for each case type you want more of, such as car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle crashes, slip and fall or wrongful death, written around what an injured person needs to know before calling.

02

Office pages

A page for each office the firm actually staffs, with the address, hours and the areas it serves. No pages for towns where nobody can meet the client.

03

Business Profile

Categories, practice areas, hours and photos kept accurate, with separate profiles for attorneys only where Google's practitioner rules allow them.

04

Reviews routine

A steady way to ask every client for a review, and a reply to each one that never discusses the case.

05

Local answers

Articles that pair a local question with a clear answer, the approach behind the Clearwater results above: settlements, deadlines, dangerous roads and insurance.

06

Clean site moves

Redirects from the old structure when a site is rebuilt, so the visibility the old site earned carries over to the new one.

07

AI visibility checks

Regular checks of whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI name the firm for the cases and places it serves.

08

Reporting by named period

A monthly report with clicks, impressions and average position against a named period. No growth multiples across mismatched windows.

Cost and timeline

What it costs and how long it takes.

How much does SEO cost for a personal injury firm?

Enginecy's SEO programs start at $1,500 a month. The number rises with the offices you want visible, the practice areas you want pages for, and how much the site needs fixing before it can compete. Money buys the work, not a position: Google states there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.

How long does it take to see results?

It builds over months. Ghaly Injury Law's program began in February 2026. Its average position in Google Search Console was 16.4 for March 12 to April 8, and 10.1 for August 2026. That is one firm's record over named periods, not a promise for yours.

Local search

The Business Profile and reviews.

Should each attorney have a Business Profile?

Google treats lawyers as individual practitioners. An attorney who is public facing and can be reached at the verified office during stated hours may have a profile, named for the attorney alone, while the firm keeps its own profile for the location. Google also says a practitioner should not have several profiles to cover each specialization, so one profile per practice area goes against the guidelines.

How should a firm earn reviews?

Ask every client, not only the happy ones. Google's policy bars businesses from discouraging negative reviews or selectively soliciting positive ones, and the final rule the FTC announced on August 14, 2024 bans fake reviews and paying for reviews that express a particular sentiment. Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help local ranking.

Advertising rules

Every page has to pass the bar.

Do bar advertising rules apply to a firm's website?

Yes. In Florida, a lawyer's own website does not have to be filed with The Florida Bar for review unless the content is sponsored, boosted or promoted, but it must still comply with the substantive advertising rules, Rules 4-7.12 through 4-7.17 and 4-7.21. Outside Florida, ABA Model Rule 7.1 sets the common baseline: no false or misleading communication about a lawyer's services.

Can SEO content mention case results and testimonials?

Only with care. The Florida Bar's checklist asks whether references to past results are objectively verifiable, and sets conditions on testimonials, including that they reflect the person's actual experience. We draft content and flag every claim, and your lawyers approve it before it goes live. Compliance is the firm's call, not the agency's.

AI search

Being named in AI answers.

Does a law firm need special work to appear in AI Overviews?

Google says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations. Both may run several related searches across subtopics, so a firm whose pages answer the follow-up questions, such as deadlines, costs and what to do after a crash, gives the AI more to draw on. Our free AI visibility audit for injury firms shows where you are named today.

Why does trust matter more for legal content?

Google gives more weight to content with strong experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust on topics that could significantly affect people's health, financial stability or safety. Legal help after an injury is that kind of topic, so pages need a named lawyer behind them, clear sourcing and no exaggeration.

Mistakes

What holds injury firm sites back.

Visibility that only comes from the firm's name

When Ghaly Injury Law started, most of its search visibility came from people typing the firm's own name. Brand searches find people who already know you. The growth is in the problem searches, which is why the work centered on practice pages and local answers.

A redesign that throws away what the old site earned

A new site with new addresses and no redirects can lose the visibility the old one built. On the Ghaly rebuild, redirects from the old structure carried existing visibility over to the new site.

Common questions

What injury firms ask before starting.

Do you guarantee first page rankings or AI mentions?

No. Nobody controls Google or the AI assistants, and Google says no one can pay for a better local ranking. We commit to the work, the reporting and the milestones we agree up front.

Do you work with injury firms outside Florida?

Yes. Enginecy is based in Tampa and works with firms across the US. Content follows the advertising rules of the state bar where the firm practices, and the firm's lawyers approve it.

Can you take over a site another agency built?

Yes. We start with an audit of what the current site earns, and if a rebuild makes sense, we map redirects from the old addresses so that visibility carries over.

Is SEO worth it if we already run paid search and TV?

Paid placements stop when the spend stops. Organic and map visibility keep working between campaigns, and the questions people search tell you which cases to build pages around.

Who writes the legal content?

We research and draft it around real searches, and a lawyer at your firm reviews every page before it is published. Google gives extra weight to trust on legal topics, so the reviewing lawyer should be named on the page.
