How Much Does Dental SEO Cost?

Front desk of a dental practice

Enginecy programs start at $1,500 a month, after a free audit. That pays for work on your Business Profile, your treatment pages, your reviews and your site, reported every month against a named period. It does not buy a ranking. Google states there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking (Google Business Profile Help, Tips to improve your local ranking).

Below is what moves the price, what the monthly work should cover, how long it takes, and how to read any agency's quote, including ours.

What moves the price of dental SEO?

Four things set the price: how many locations you have, how many treatments you want pages for, how crowded your area is, and how much the site needs fixing first.

  • Locations. Each location has its own Business Profile, its own area and its own competitors to keep up with.
  • Treatments. A practice that wants more implant, aligner and emergency patients needs a page for each, and each page needs to answer what patients ask before they book.
  • Your area. A street with several practices on it takes more work than a town with two.
  • The site you have. Slow pages, a booking path that fails on a phone, or missing basics have to be fixed before new content can pull its weight.

The free audit is how we price it. It looks at your site, your Business Profile and the practices winning the searches you want, and it is yours whether or not you hire us.

What should a monthly dental SEO program include?

A monthly program should cover your Business Profile, a page for each treatment you want more of, plain cost and insurance answers, a reviews routine, dentist-reviewed content, structured data, technical health and a monthly report. Here is what each one means in an Enginecy program:

  • Business Profile. Categories, services, hours, insurance and accessibility details kept accurate, with dentist profiles set up the way Google's practitioner rules describe.
  • Treatment pages. A page for each treatment you want more of, such as implants, clear aligners, crowns, whitening or emergency care.
  • Insurance and cost pages. Which plans you accept, what a first visit involves and how payment works, so cost questions do not send patients elsewhere.
  • Reviews routine. A steady way to ask every patient for a review, and reply templates that never confirm someone is a patient or mention their care.
  • Dentist-reviewed content. Articles and treatment pages written for patients and reviewed by a dentist at the practice, who is named on the page.
  • Structured data. Markup that tells search engines the practice is a dentist and matches what the page shows.
  • Technical health. Speed, mobile layout, crawlability and a booking path a patient on a phone can finish.
  • Reporting by named period. Clicks, impressions and calls against a named period, so you can see what the work is bringing in.

If a quote does not say which of these you get, ask before you sign. Our SEO for dentists page covers the full program.

How long does dental SEO take to show results?

Dental SEO builds over months, not days. Profile and technical fixes can show sooner. Treatment pages and reviews add up the longer they run, and a crowded area takes longer than a quiet one.

We do not have a published dental case study yet, so we will not quote a dental timeline. Our Tampa SEO case studies show how other programs moved over named periods.

How do you read a dental SEO quote?

Read a quote for what it commits to doing and how it reports, not for what it promises to deliver. These are the red flags:

  • A promised position. No one controls Google, and Google says no one can pay for a better local ranking. An agency that promises a spot on the page is selling a line, not the work.
  • Reports with no dates. If a report does not name the period it covers, you cannot tell what changed or when.
  • Review shortcuts. Google bars businesses from discouraging negative reviews or asking only happy patients (Google Maps user contributed content policy), and the FTC's final rule, announced August 14, 2024, bans fake reviews and rewards for reviews with a particular sentiment (FTC final rule on fake reviews). An agency that offers either puts your practice at risk.
  • Review replies with no privacy rules. HHS settled with New Vision Dental for $23,000 in 2022 over patient information disclosed in replies to online reviews (HHS, New Vision Dental settlement). Ask how replies are written and who checks them.
  • Copied pages. The same page repeated for every nearby town with the name swapped helps no patient. Each page should answer real questions for the people it is written for.
  • Clinical content no one reviews. Ask who checks treatment pages before they go live. A dentist at the practice should, and should be named on the page.

Questions practices ask about dental SEO cost

Is dental SEO worth the cost?

It depends on what a new patient is worth to you and how many of them search before they book, and an audit is the way to find out before you spend anything. We will not promise a number of patients. We commit to the work, monthly reports by named period and the milestones we agree up front, so you can judge it on evidence.

Can a practice pay Google for a better local ranking?

No. Google states there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking, so any SEO fee pays for work on your profile, pages, reviews and site.

Why do dental SEO quotes vary so much?

Quotes vary because the work varies: the number of locations, the number of treatment pages, how crowded the area is and how much the site needs fixing. Ask each agency to list what it will do each month so you compare like with like.

Have you done SEO for other dental practices?

We do not have a published dental case study yet, so we make no dental results claims. Our published case studies show dated results for other local businesses, and a dental program would be reported the same way.

Is the audit really free?

Yes. The audit is a documented look at your site, your Business Profile and the practices winning the searches you want, and it is yours whether or not you hire us.
